Built in the 1850s, and formerly a bank, it is reported that Robert E Lee had a bank account here.

An exact replica, built with salvaged materials, of Washington's town house in Old Town Alexandria.
Now used as a fine arts museum, it was a bank in the 1850s.
Lee Street Home
Originally called Water St, appropriately since it was located on the water in the 1750s, this house is now a block and a half from the river.
Today's dock bears no resemblance to the numerous public and private piers that stuck out into the river in 1700 and 1800s.
The Blackwall Hitch restaurant has zero historical significance, but it does provide a dramatic spot for night photos.
